Gone are the days of ordinary weddings. Your celebration should tell the story of you as a couple, transporting you and your guests on a journey of wonder from beginning to end.
Across our house and 52 acres of grounds you’ll find an abundance of beautiful backdrops for both your celebrations and photographs. From the entrance hall, complete with its spectacular dried-flower installation, to the romantic Victorian Orangery with cast iron water fountain. Creative décor and one-of-a-kind props give each space its own identity, without being overbearing.
Whether you envisage a low-key ceremony in the woods followed by an intimate dinner, or a flamboyant party for 150, Dunford House can be configured and styled to suit your needs.
Large double white doors open into the entrance hall with original burgundy marble fireplace, dark mahogany floorboards and a statement crystal chandelier.
A show-stopping dried flower installation bursts across the ceiling, providing a kaleidoscope of colour and texture upon entry.
The Drawing Room epitomises period grandeur, with elegantly faded cream walls, a raw cream and pink plastered ceiling, ornate carved cornices, marble fireplace and an oversized chandelier. A welcoming space to host a drinks reception or ceremony, the Waltzer Room is flooded with natural light and overlooks the gardens. Couples can make use of the vintage car sourced from a fairground Waltzer for photographs.
With unrestricted views over the woodland, the Carousel Room is made for fairy-tale weddings and features stunning green degraded walls, period features, an original marble fireplace and a selection of vintage upholstered furniture. A prancing carousel pony provides a fun focal point.
A romantic Victorian glass Orangery with stone flooring and an abundance of plants, hanging baskets and elegant crystal chandeliers provides a breath-taking backdrop for wedding receptions for up to 200 guests. A cast iron water fountain sits proudly in the centre of the room, planted with ferns and hanging ivy. Off the orangery, the Glasshouse runs along the back of the house providing a quiet break-out space as well as access to the Bar and Snug.
Situated in the heart of the South Downs, characterised by its rolling chalk hills and mesmerising views, Dunford House is surrounded by idyllic and historic English countryside and an array of beautiful places to visit and things to do.
Take time to connect with nature with an invigorating wild water swim, enjoy a wildlife trail in the National Park or tour on e-bikes around the neighbouring market towns of Midhurst, Petworth and Arundel.
